Open Space Committee approves prior minutes, reviews project funding options.

HUBBARDSTON — Open Space Committee approves prior minutes and examines funding sources for trail projects. Chair Bob Hatch will submit a $5,600 request to the Parks Commission for Scout Trail emblems, new Mt. Jefferson trail signs, and a Dottie Athens memorial sign.

Treasurer Susan Worth reported combined account balances of $26,538 across the Ryder Property, Hubbardston Preservation Trust, and Open Space Expense accounts. The committee will pursue Community Preservation Act funding for projects detailed in the town's Open Space and Recreation Plan, with requests due to the Community Preservation Committee by July 15. Member Rick Jones will obtain quotes for the memorial sign and revise the hay contract with Lance Laine for a one-year term pending insurance verification.
