Open Space Committee seeks funding for $13K in approved projects

Hubbardston Open Space Committee will pursue annual budget request for $13K in trail projects. Committee Chair Bob Hatch raised the topic of submitting a budget request to fund approximately $13,000 in projects already approved in the Open Space and Recreation Plan, with the committee currently relying on the Hubbardston Preservation Trust's $2,000 annual hay lease revenue. Tim Hawley and Todd Livdahl suggested highlighting projects approved in the OSRP and grants the OSC has obtained.
The committee voted unanimously to allocate $250 for Scout Trail tags and unanimously approved creation of a memorial sign for conservation advocate Dottie Athens.
