Community Preservation Committee delays First Meeting House funding decision

Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of June 25, 2026

HUBBARDSTON — Community Preservation Committee postpones First Meeting House funding decision. The committee, led by Chair Danielle Arakelian, requested that applicants provide additional detail on a $150,000 request with $100,000 set aside as matching funds for a Massachusetts Historical Commission grant due mid-March 2027. Members flagged concerns that the available $5,000 in CPA administration funds may not cover a full feasibility study and recommended applicants obtain architect quotes.

The committee also reiterated that CPC funding will be contingent on grant approval.
