Open Space panel backs storybook trail plan

HUBBARDSTON — Open Space Committee votes to support storybook trail project at Malone Road. The installation will feature 20 lockable frames on aluminum posts along the Jassy's Loop section of the Dottie Rock Trail, with Monty Tech students handling work pending Town Meeting warrant approval. Committee members specified dark brown posts on the trail's wooded side with removable cemented sleeves.

Treasurer Susan Worth reported account balances of $4,125 in Ryder Property, $20,460 in Hubbardston Preservation Trust, and $214 in donations; Rick Jones reported approximately $2,700 remaining from the Mass Trails Grant following recent administrative changes.
