Open Space Committee approves memorial sign and apple tree purchase.

HUBBARDSTON — Open Space Committee approves memorial initiatives and trail funding. Chair Bob Hatch and the eight-member committee unanimously approved a 12-inch by 15-inch memorial sign honoring former member Dottie Athens at an estimated cost of $330, and voted unanimously to purchase six Nonesuch apple tree seedlings as a memorial to Select Board Chair Jeff Williams for planting at Malone Conservation Area. Treasurer Susan Worth reported account balances totaling $26,538 across three accounts.

Chair Hatch revised a funding request to the Parks Commission for approximately $7,500 in project support, which Worth will present at the next Parks Commission meeting.
