Library Trustees approve policies, ADA grant funding, and hybrid meetings

Library Trustees · Meeting of June 4, 2026

Hubbardston Library Trustees adopt eight revised policies and approve ADA grant funding. The board voted unanimously to implement revised policies covering child safety and conduct, event liability waivers, borrowing, and collection development while rejecting a separate Consent and Release Form. Trustees also approved allocating up to $10,000 from the Donations account for a Municipal ADA planning grant application due June 12, which will fund a study to fill gaps in the town's ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for the library building.

Director Chris Barbera reported May programming drew 139 Storytime attendees and 150 participants at a "Touch a Truck" event at Curtis Field.
