HUBBARDSTON — Board of Assessors approves prior-month minutes, signs routine tax documents. Chair John K Prentiss, members Jeffrey A Young and Albert Afonso unanimously approved the July 17 minutes, then executed 12 motor vehicle excise abatement grants and one denial, the fourth motor vehicle commitment warrant, one Title V betterment warrant, and multiple liens as part of an ongoing Chapter Land audit. The board approved 16 Chapter 61 and 61B conservation applications across four categories, and Assessor Steven Boucher's office signaled additional research would follow on a state letter regarding preferential tax treatment for small-business-owned commercial properties.
