Hubbardston Board of Health fixes its chair's name in the minutes, then hears a resident's push for a no-camping bylaw.
Board of Health · Meeting of September 8, 2026
Hubbardston Board of Health fixes its chair's name in the minutes, then hears a resident's push for a no-camping bylaw. Chair Gael Moncoeur, joined by members Dianna Johnson and David Rogers for a three-person quorum after Steve Connolly's absence, unanimously approved August 25 minutes corrected to fix the spelling of Moncoeur's own surname. A resident living near Mount Jefferson Road told the board he has about 37 of the 100 signatures needed to put an overnight-parking ban on the October town warrant, describing repeated encounters with a man camping on conservation land, including one where "he flipped out and spit at me." Moncoeur said the issue "fall outside of the BOH jurisdiction" absent a bathroom or sanitary violation and pointed the resident toward the Select Board.
The board also logged one salmonella case under MAVEN reporting, closed septic files for 91 Hale Road and 43 Birches Road, and is awaiting an inspector's report on a 4 Brigham Street complaint over a home without running water. Next meeting: September 22.
