Board of Health approves $600 annual fee for MPHN membership

HUBBARDSTON — Board of Health backs regional public health partnership. Chair Gael Moncoeur moved approval of continued MPHN membership at $600 annually, seconded by Vice Chair David Rogers, with all members voting in favor. Member Dianna Johnson reported one active COVID-19 case and advised residents on food safety; the board will coordinate a flu vaccine clinic for mid-October at the senior center.

The board also authorized enforcement letters for kratom sales, which became illegal statewide on August 13 and must be removed by August 28. Health Inspector Cathy Hansgate will no longer serve as food inspector next year.
