Select Board reorganizes, approves debt exclusion for municipal complex project

HUBBARDSTON — The Hubbardston Select Board reorganized June 15, electing Kathryn V. Young Chair, Peter J. Walker Vice Chair, and Terry Tyler Clerk, all unanimously.
The board's most significant action was unanimous approval of a debt exclusion article for the Municipal Complex Building Committee project, directing it to the November election ballot, with ballot language due to the Secretary of the Commonwealth by August 5. Municipal Complex Building Committee Chair Kari Sacramone reported design completion is nearing and cost estimates are pending; the board emphasized that advancing the project promptly would avoid construction cost escalation in future years. The board also unanimously approved a three year intermunicipal animal control agreement with the City of Gardner and appointed four individuals to municipal committees and positions.
