Parks Commission · Meeting of September 10, 2026

HUBBARDSTON — Parks Commission funds trail updates and approves seasonal projects. Chair Jessie Alexander and Commissioners Joshua Tenpenny and Kenneth Canfield unanimously approved approximately $5,000 in reimbursement from the Hubbardston Preservation Fund for Open Space trail updates and voted unanimously to allocate additional preservation funds for irrigation filter replacement. The board approved setting up the skating rink for the season with a planned opening event featuring hot cocoa and agreed to permit a Lions Club member to install a community library in the playground outside the fenced area.

Commissioner Tenpenny flagged a trash and recycling management problem at the park after the town removed its recycle bin, forcing him to use personal bins.
