HUBBARDSTON — The Hubbardston Public Library's 29th annual 5K fundraiser drew 92 runners and walkers under clear, low-60-degree skies, raising more than $3,500 for library operations and scholarships. Trustees also honored longtime volunteer Tom Robinson for his years of service to the library and the town.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
A total of 92 runners and walkers registered for the 29th Annual Hubbardston Library 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser, which organizers said could not succeed without the cooperation of local police, emergency personnel, library trustees and race volunteers. The event raised more than $3,500 to support the library's ongoing operations and scholarship activities.
Before the awards ceremony, Library Trustees Chairperson Morgan Brinker recognized Tom Robinson, a longtime Hubbardston resident, library trustee and town volunteer, for his contributions to both the library and the town. Full race results are posted on the library's website, hubbardstonpubliclibrary.org.
Separately, the Board of Trustees is seeking two new members to help oversee the library director and staff on programming and collection development. Residents interested in serving can reach the board at hubbtrustees@gmail.com.
