PLANNING BOARD CLEARS POND EXPANSION, REASSIGNS COMMITTEE POSTS

Planning Board · Meeting of February 19, 2026

Hubbardston Planning Board clears dog-training pond expansion in Snake Pond wellhead protection area. Chair Kristofer Munroe and members Francois Steiger, Alan Carpenter, and Mark Kresge determined that no Planning Board permits are required for Falline LLC's project to double its training pond, which falls outside the floodplain but within a groundwater protection district for the Snake Pond wellhead. Town Planner Alec Wade noted the expansion constitutes a modification of an existing by-right use.

The board voted unanimously to recommend committee assignments to the Select Board: Steiger to two planning committees, Carpenter to the Affordable Housing Committee, Kresge to MJTC and as alternate to MRPC, and Munroe to the Town Administrator Search Committee and MRPC.
