HUBBARDSTON — Regional planning commission adopts 2.7M FY27 budget with 300K projected deficit. The Montachusett Regional Planning Commission unanimously approved the fiscal 2027 spending plan, which projects revenue of 2.374 million dollars against expenses of 2.673 million dollars. The agency has submitted ten grant proposals totaling 874,538 dollars to help narrow the gap, including seven Eco One-Stop planning assistance grants and three Community One-Stop grants submitted in June.

MassDOT's annual transportation and transit planning allocation is increasing 15.2 percent to 1.174 million dollars for FY27. The commission unanimously re-elected Kristofer Munroe as chair and adopted a new meeting schedule that cancels July's session in favor of an August 6 strategic planning meeting focused on the executive director's transition.
