Hubbardston Select Board Votes to Sell Surplus Fire Truck Through Online Reseller

HUBBARDSTON — April 21, 2026 — Hubbardston Select Board authorizes online sale of surplus fire truck appraised at up to $115,000. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to list the town's 2001 KME fire apparatus with The Garage, a specialized fire apparatus online resale service that takes 10 percent commission and handles all logistics, after Fire Chief Paul reported the truck has been sitting unprotected outdoors since a new tanker was acquired in fall 2025 and prior buyback negotiations stalled.
