Commission Continues Three Wetlands Protection Hearings

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 7, 2026

HUBBARDSTON — Conservation Commission continues three Wetlands Protection Act hearings, deferring decisions on pond expansion, fishing pier, and dock installations. Thomas Christopher presented an application to expand a pond at 231 Gardner Rd for dog-training; Chair Bryan LaRochelle requested storm-drainage specifications be shown on revised plans. The Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game described parking-lot resurfacing and a fishing pier at Old Boston Turnpike; LaRochelle recused himself due to DCR employment.

Christopher Ford discussed a 70-foot seasonal dock. All three hearings were unanimously continued to the next meeting; the Commission also unanimously approved $100 in funding for a WPI wetlands cleanup on April 11.
